Beat are the UK’s eating disorder charity.
Through their national helpline and a range of online support services they encourage and empower people to get help quickly. They also support family and friends, equipping them with the essential skills they need to help their loved ones recover whilst also looking after their own mental health. And they campaign to increase knowledge of Eating Disorders among healthcare and other professionals, and for better funding for treatment, so that when people take vital steps towards recovery, the right help is available to them.
I worked with Beat as part of The Developer Society’s agency team to revamp the charity’s digital presence as part of a complete replatforming project which aims to build longevity into Beat’s digital infrastructure by moving their front-facing site to wagtail (an open-source CMS).
